No. ReportForge reads and writes .xlsx files directly. You only need Excel (any version 2013+) to view the output.
No. All processing happens locally on your machine. The only network call is license key validation. Your spreadsheets never leave your computer.
Existing formulas in your template are preserved. Macros are not executed — ReportForge fills data, it doesn't run code.
Every download starts with a 14-day Pro trial — unlimited templates, scheduling, PDF export, the works. No credit card needed. After 14 days it reverts to the Free plan automatically.
ReportForge is a new application, so Chrome may flag the download and Windows SmartScreen may show a warning when you run the installer. This is normal for new software and does not indicate a security risk. See troubleshooting for step-by-step instructions to proceed.
